  Full form of CID is  Crime Investigation Department. The headquarter of CID is in Pune(India). CID is an Investigation and Intelligence panel of the Indian State Police. It is the unit in police organization and is led by Additional Director General of Police(ADGP). CID investigates that cases which are handled by the Gov. of India and Director General of Police(DGP). In 1902, It was developed by the British government to maintain the order and law in the country, regarding of police commission. The officers of this department are usually remains in their regular clothes. They are also known as CID officers or Detectives.
